Resource Library

Located at Preservation Dallas 2922 Swiss Avenue, the Resource Library is a collection of more than 2500 books, periodicals, files and videotapes on architectural styles, rehabilitation techniques, house plans and Dallas history. Specifically, the collection includes the following:

  • Restoration supply catalogues
  • Style manuals
  • Paint sample books
  • Historic house plan books
  • Periodicals such as This Old House, Old House Interiors and Traditional Building
  • Technical briefs with in-depth how-to information from the National Trust for Historic Preservation
  • Files containing news clipping, research reports and other historic information on individual buildings and neighborhoods in Dallas

In addition, Preservation Dallas offers full and half-day workshops on specific topics like historic interiors or how to approach rehabilitating an historic house. Recognized leaders in each subject area lead workshops.
