Assistance Organizing Associations

We’re committed to providing direct assistance to new and established neighborhood associations in order to promote strong, vibrant neighborhoods.

Our comprehensive Neighborhood Handbook is a how-to guide for anyone trying to form or manage a neighborhood association. It provides practical step-by-step information on organizing an association, a list of free resources available in Dallas and a discussion of long-term planning issues. It’s available free of charge to Dallas neighborhood associations.

We offer guidance to neighborhood associations considering special designations from the City of Dallas such as a conservation or historic district. We can meet with you individually to discuss the benefits and restrictions in any designation plus we can speak at your next neighborhood meeting.

We collaborate with the City of Dallas, Forward Dallas, the Dallas Homeowners League and other groups dedicated to revitalizing Dallas neighborhoods.

Plus we offer free use of a desktop publishing center to design and produce neighborhood newsletters, flyers and brochures.

To take advantage of the neighborhood assistance services or to become a Neighborhood Member of Preservation Dallas, please call (214) 821-3290, email or visit Preservation Dallas at 2922 Swiss Avenue, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
