ROBERT
HAMRIC SCULPTURE
Seventy-five $100 tickets will be available for a drawing
to win a Robert Hamric sculpture.

About Robert Hamric
rhamric@austin.rr.com
Hamric works with found objects creating and using interesting
shapes and wrapping with colored wire, ropes, chains, horseshoes,
good luck, ceremonial, and folk objects, toys, and wild
game items. Religious icons are included on some works,
and he created a series of fabric wrapped Christmas and
theme trees. Simultaneously, he creates steel sculptures
of cubic geometric shapes which are powder coated in various
finishes and textured color. He is currently experimenting
with the mounting and movement of the steel cubes, and recent
steel sculptures are currently on view at Benini Sculpture
Ranch in Johnson City, the Waco Convention Center, and Carson
Art Gallery in Dallas. Hamric exhibited at the recent Dominion
Sculpture Exhibition in San Antonio. Hamric is an Austin
resident with an art degree from UT, Austin. Currently he
divides his time between Austin and Marfa where he is refurbishing
the historic Quarter House building for use as studio and
exhibition space.
