The Dallas Modern Expo – A Celebration
of Modernism –
October 13, 14, &15, Exposition and Sale of the highest quality
20TH century modern furniture and decorative arts welcomes serious
collectors and modern aficionados
The 3rd annual Dallas Modern Expo, the Premier Modernism Show
of Texas, is a two-day exposition and sale of 20th century modern
furniture and decorative arts with an emphasis on the mid-century.
Vendors from across the nation converge on Dallas Market Hall
this October to offer their unique collections. The Expo is open
to general admission on Saturday, October 14, 10-5 pm and on Sunday,
October 15, 11-4 pm.
The Dallas Modern Expo Preview Night Party, October 13th 6-9
pm, is a elegant, high energy, high-spirits evening, where guests
have the opportunity to purchase merchandise exhibitors have saved
especially for this show and bid on many of the wonderful items
that have been donated for a special silent auction. This event
is open to the public.
The Dallas Modern Lecture Series will be held in conjunction
with the Expo featuring nationally known speakers lecturing on
topics that include photography, fashion, landscape design, and
architecture. These lectures are open to the public with reservations
encouraged by September 22nd, as seating is limited at some venues.

The Dallas Modern Committee of Preservation Dallas
hosts the event. The Committee is dedicated to promoting knowledge,
awareness, and appreciation of modern architecture and design
in Dallas and Texas. The Committee celebrates the cultural legacy
of the recent past while embracing the present and looks to the
future by encouraging continuity within the spirit of modern design
and innovation. Programs include the exchange of information,
documentation of cultural resources, seminars, lectures, exhibitions,
study tours, and preservation advocacy of modern architecture
and design. Preservation Dallas is a private, nonprofit organization
dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of Dallas’
buildings, neighborhoods and other historical, architectural,
and cultural resources.
