Katherine
Seale is the director of Preservation Dallas, the city’s non-profit organization
dedicated to historic preservation in Dallas, Texas. She was hired in 2001 to
conduct a city-wide survey of architecturally and historically significant buildings
using the help of volunteers. Ms. Seale organized more than 500 volunteers to
collect the survey data, and managed five professional committees to oversee
the collection. She is a member of the local designation committee, which writes
and review preservation criteria for landmark properties and facilitates the
designation process with property owners.
Ms. Seale holds a BA in Art History from Southwestern University in Georgetown,
Texas and an MA in Architectural History from University of Virginia. She attended
the Victorian Society American Summer School in 1999 and the Attingham Summer
School in 2005.
