Preservation Dallas recognizes the importance of neighborhood involvement in preservation and revitalization. In many cases, communities are the catalysts for historic designation and the ground force responsible for the restoration and revitalization of their neighborhoods. Preservation Dallas strongly supports these efforts through our Neighborhood Assistance program.

Through this program, Preservation Dallas provides:

• A free, comprehensive Neighborhood Handbook with information on forming a neighborhood association, groups that provide services to neighborhoods, and planning tools and special projects.
• Advice on special designations, including historic and conservation district status.
• Equipment for designing and publishing newsletters, flyers, and brochures.
• Annual workshops that bring together neighborhood representatives and neighborhood service providers.

By supporting our neighborhoods’ grass roots efforts, Preservation Dallas will continue to strengthen interest in preserving and revitalizing residential communities.
