We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend Gail Thoma Patterson, who contributed thousands of hours of service to our organization as volunteer, board member, and board president. Under Gail’s term as board president, the organization accomplished a number of significant achievements such as our Intown Outings Program, the Intown Living Center, the Resource Library and the Publications Center as well as the Historic House Specialist Realtor Seminar Program. During her tenure, Historic Preservation League changed its name to Preservation Dallas and moved to its current headquarters at the Wilson House.

As an advocate for historic preservation, Gail insisted on the highest quality of historic preservation. Gail was an asset to the local community and to the city’s architectural heritage. She will be dearly missed.

The Patterson family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Preservation Dallas.
